The BA should possess strong facilitation skills which will be utilized when leading focused discussions or using data collection tools (surveys, focus group, charting, and reports) to gather system requirements. The BA should be able to document all this and create a meaningful requirements document. The BA is expected to be a self-starting, self-directed individual that has the ability to effectively execute their responsibilities while balancing multiple concurrent assignments. The BA should have expertise to act as a liaison between the business users and the development and testing teams when discussing requirements and their proposed solutions.
