Automate Support Developer  

Contract
Automate Support Developer - Automate software - Automation support apps - Automate batch ETL job execution - Tune job execution streams.

Our client is seeking an Automate Support Developer whose primary responsibility is support of client's business and IT system processes for a Datawarehouse project. They will develop, implement and maintain automation solutions for the organization. Additionally they will collaborate with internal and external customers, gather, analyze and produce code to satisfy needs of business partners and to increase system efficiencies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Automate batch ETL job execution using the Automate software.
* Work with Source System IT teams to identify triggering events to initiate Datawarehouse load processes.
* Tune the job execution streams in the Performance Test environment by identifying the proper level of scheduling concurrency.
* Respond to inquiries with an in-depth understanding of the business unit processes.
* Maintain and keep up to date business process documentation for the Command Center including maintaining diagrams, flow charts, etc. as needed to explain processes.
* Take ownership of issues and ensures that all are appropriately resolved in a timely manner.
* Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of distinctive automation of business and IT systems processes.
* Participate in system or upgrade testing and collaborate with fellow developers on system maintenance/development projects in order to sustain or improve client's infrastructure.

Required Technical Skills:
* 5+ Years of experience with automation software applications such as Automate BPA, Control M, Opalis and Automation Anywhere.
* Must have information technology field experience, including researching, developing, maintaining, and integrating information system software applications; a demonstrated ability in applying business and project management principles, methods, and practices; and experience in applying automation principles and techniques as they relate to furthering business objectives.
* Familiarity with Business Unit batch processing cycles.
* 5+ Years of experience with Visual Basic program language.
* Understanding of SQL with the ability to write queries.
* Candidates must also be proficient in creating complex spreadsheet, word processing, and database applications.
* Excellent understanding of Client Server architecture.
* Excellent understanding of the following desktop applications: MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
* Excellent understanding of remote tools/applications such as: VmWare Virtual Center, Windows Remote Desktop, and Windows Terminal Service.
* Knowledge of Web Services & integration w/other systems/databases.

Required Soft Skills:
* Skilled in communicating effectively in both written and oral forms with vendors, users, analysts, programmers, and management.
* Skilled in developing effective working relationships with internal and external customers; in reading and applying technical reference data to resolve IT system related issues.
* Impeccable written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to communicate highly technical information in a business friendly manner.
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Self motivated and directed

Education:
Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
