Applications Developer/Programmer II  

Contract
Our client in Milwaukee, WI is seeking Applications Developer for a 6 + month contract opportunity

In-depth knowledge of Java and web based technologies is required, with 5-7 years experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience with the following technologies and concepts:
- Java/J2EE
- JSP/JavaScript/jQuery/HTML/CSS
- SQL/JBDC
- Web Architecture
- Object Oriented Design

Candidates must also demonstrate:
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to quality
- Initiative and innovative thinking
- Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
- Work well with a team and individually

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of structured programming technology for structured language environment
Considerable knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building
Considerable knowledge of applications/development methodologies
Considerable knowledge of appropriate operating systems, programming languages, and development tools
Skill in project management experience
Skill in operating independently
Skill in exhibiting solid analysis, decision-making, and problem solving
Skill in understanding and focusing on the clients' needs and goals, establishing credibility and building relationships with clients
Ability to assess requirements, alternatives, and risks/benefits for low-to-medium impact projects
Ability to develop a mid-size project plan (ie, a plan that affects a single system or family and multiple resources) using approved project management software
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public
