Application Support Engineer  

Contract
Application Support Engineer SCOM, HTML, Silverlight

Our client based in the East Coast, USA have a fantastic opportunity for an Applications Support Engineer

You will be required to:
Provide Service Engineering support projects in design and already in a Production environment
Review and provide supportability recommendations on business requirements documents, functional and technical specs, and test plans
Engineer hosting solutions and Support processes to go with
Execute on pre-Production deployments
Create Support documentation and train Tier 1/Tier2 staff
Perform Production deployments followed by Tier 3 production support
Troubleshoot live Production issues as well as those in pre-Production Lab environments
Conduct root cause analysis and provide report to management

Experience and Skills:
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (or equivalent additional industry experience)
Experienced in Engineering Services with High Availability requirements
SQL: Experience administering, performance tuning, supporting clustered SQL instances, SSIS, SSRS, troubleshooting Agent jobs, and experience troubleshooting inter-tier SQL connectivity & security.
IIS, ASP.NET, WCF: engineering & configure clustered websites; ability to debug web code & configuration issues; experience with Web Services, SSL, SharePoint 2010
Intermediate understanding of networking concepts and practical troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 server

Preferred Qualifications:
In depth knowledge of C#, HTML, Silverlight and CSS
Experience in one or more of these areas: BizTalk, MS-CRM, ADFS
Experience with monitoring tools such as MOM/SCOM, Gomez
MCSE, MCDBA, MCPITDBA or equivalent work experience/training
MS in computer science, information systems or engineering
