The Acquisition Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Acquisition Management Section of a large government agency. They must be familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and have a minimum of 1 year experience in working with government contracts or acting as a buyer and have exposure to the functions of CORs and COs. Experience with cost reimbursable contracts is required. Experience in performing close-outs of IDIQ tasks to free up ceiling on the contract is required. A successful candidate will be trained in the agency's unique financial management system, but prior experience with existing financial systems (such as Comprizon Suite and CSTARS) is a plus. The candidate must be aself-starter and have good communications skills. They also must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.) Must have 1-5 years experience in contracts/acquisitions.
